Nobody is too broken for the grace of Jesus.

If we were to all be honest with each other and ourselves, we could admit that we’ve all done things we aren’t proud of, said things that we wish we could take back, and been places we wouldn’t dare go visit again.

What we need to understand is that while many of us have found redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus, we have to remember that there are still millions of other people in this world who have yet to do the same.

The Apostle Paul states in 1 Corinthians 15:9-10, For I am the least of all the apostles. In fact, I’m not even worthy to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted God’s church. But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.”

The truth behind Paul’s words are revitalizing and scandalous—that even a man who once persecuted the church of Jesus Christ has now been redeemed and forgiven by His grace. This is revolutionary for all who hear it. The story of Paul is one we can all learn from. He is a greatexample of somebody who was far from God but found favor through the grace of Jesus. A second chance awaited him, and that second chance was discovered through seeking repentance, asking for forgiveness and allowing the spirit of Christ to transform him.

No matter what you’ve done in life, it is imperative to understand that the grace and love of Jesus is waiting for you with open arms.

No matter where you have been, what you have done, how far you may think you are from His grace, He is waiting on you today. There is nothing that you need to “DO” in order to be forgiven. All that NEEDS to be done has already BEEN done. No one could ever be “good enough” to receive forgiveness. That is why it is called GRACE. God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.

You don’t need to reach a certain level of “goodness” before you can pray, walk into a church, read your bible or come to Him. God will take you where you are today, but he loves you too much to leave you that way.

Remember, nobody is too broken for the grace of Jesus.

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.” —Titus 2:11

He walked on water

Simon Peter, messed up. We know more about his mess ups than the mess ups of anyone else in the New Testament. He messed up rebuking the Lord, denying the Lord, comparing the Lord to Moses and Elijah, and sinking into the water.

Peter seems, often, to be stumbling through the New Testament.

The main thing we need to remember about Peter is not that he stumbled, but that he walked.

He may have stumbled… but at least he walked.

He was the only apostle who started sinking into the water, but at least he walked on the water.

None of the others sank, but none of the others even attempted to walk.

Which had the better portion? It was the one who at least attempted to walk on the water.

Because he was always willing to walk, he is the one that led 5000 people to salvation in just 2 impromptu sermons. Because he was always willing to walk, Peter became the leader of them all.

Most of the disciples and sadly, most of us would rather avoid the risk of stumbling, falling, and sinking by choosing not to step out in faith.

So most of us are like the other 10, who chose comfort over faith.

God is calling you to step out in faith – for it is better to have stepped out in faith than to have never stepped out at all.

Where is God calling you to walk today? You might stumble, trip, fall or even sink, but one thing is for sure, you will never know if you don’t start walking.

You never know, God just might be calling you to walk on top of your climate today.

Borrowed from Jonathan Cahn:

The Wilderness So… you’re going through a wilderness…Or, you’ve just gone through a wilderness…or, you’re about to go through a wilderness… or … whatever the case … you probably don’t like the wilderness, those hard times in the Lord. But if you go into any synagogue in the world, you’ll find something called the Ark, the holiest place. Inside the Ark is the Torah, the most holy scroll which contains the Five Books of Moses. But think about it… this most sacred scroll, the Torah, was written completely in the wilderness…. Genesis and the creation of the world, Exodus and Passover, the Ten Commandments, the Law, the Ark of the Covenant, and the Holy of Holies. The wilderness is sacred, a special place and time where you get the chance of drawing especially near to God. It is in the wilderness that He gives you the Tent of Meeting, and reveals His presence in the deepest ways. So do not despise your wilderness, but bless it. For God Himself will dwell among you in the most special of ways and make your wilderness most holy.

TODAY’S MISSION

Create a special place to spend time getting closer to the Lord today – just Him and you. Make your wilderness holy.

He Loved Me Anyway

Romans 5:8 says But God proves His love for us in this; while we were sinners Christ died for us.

God loved me anyway.

All the while that I had led a life that went against everything the Bible ever taught, He had loved me.

He loved me when I didn’t love myself.

He loved me when I turned my back on Him.

But most importantly He loved me when I returned to Him in shame. He never made me feel unworthy, but simply welcome. I felt welcome to return home.

And He loved me even now, when I fell short on the daily. He loved me when I was envious, when I was angry, when I was impatient, or when I was ungrateful. He loved me even though I messed up over and over again. He loved me even when I was especially unlovable.

He loved me anyway.

In a world that bases so much on performance, it’s nice to be loved just because. Nothing can remove me from His love. I’m good enough, and though I can strive each day to do better because I love Him in return, I don’t have to worry that I must be without fault to be saved. I base my actions for improvement on our relationship, not on an idea that I must please Him to be loved.

He loves me despite my past, He loves me despite my current shortcomings, and He loves me despite how I may fail in the future. He loves me anyway.

Saturday 2/6/21 You Have To Move On

On the road with Messiah ministering in Galilee: He’s healing the blind and making the crippled walk. But suddenly Messiah leaves and says, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.” Messiah is in effect saying, “I have to move on.” If you’re following Messiah and He’s moving on, then how can you follow Him if you don’t move on? Don’t stop following. Don’t stay where you are. Don’t stop stepping out in faith. Don’t stop moving ahead. Messiah called his disciples to follow him because he’s always moving. Have you been stuck in the same place? Pondering what you once had but lost? Get over it. Move on already. The Lord is not staying in it, and neither should you. Move on with your life. Step out and go. The Lord is always moving on. If you want the continuing presence and joy of the Lord, then move on with the Lord because moving on is the only way to go when you’re going with the Lord.

Friday February 5

Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Ephesians 6:24

There isn’t a man made system that doesn’t have some type of corruption in it. Whether it’s politics, business, education, and even the church, when there are humans involved, you will have some type of exploitation, fraud, extortion, bribery or crime. Yet it seems to “shock” us when those things are exposed and made public. We can’t believe that someone would use a position or power to take advantage of others for their own gain. But as Paul was concluding his letter to the church in Ephesus he encouraged the followers there by telling them they could experience “Grace through the Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love!” Wow! In Christ we have a love that real, genuine, powerful, motivational, extraordinary and supernatural! Our love as humans will always fall short. We will disappoint each other, even with the best intentions. But in Christ Jesus we have a Savior who’s love never fails, never gives up, never runs out. His is the “real deal!” Hallelujah!

February 4,2021

I borrowed this from an email subscription of mine for today.

Set your affections in things above.

There’s an expression, “Time is money.” But that’s not true. Time is not money. Time is time. We often use money to purchase good times. And the more we give, the more good times we expect. If we put a quarter into a pinball machine or video game, we get a few minutes of fun. If we spend a few dollars in the cinema, we get two hours of entertainment. If we spend 20 or 30 dollars in a restaurant, we get a night out. Yet all of these things we spend money on ultimately end and then there’s nothing. But Messiah said, “Don’t store up your treasures on earth where moths and rust devour, and thieves break in and steal.” He told us to store up our treasures in heaven because that’s the only place where treasures last forever. When you invest your treasures in the Kingdom of Heaven you get blessings forever – you get eternal dividends. Be wise with your investments. Invest whatever you have in this life in the Kingdom of God. You’ll inherit everlasting riches and all the time in the world – and then some.

Just thinking

I was reading an email from Olive Tree Ministry this morning and it got me to thinking about a lot of things. I wanted to share just an excerpt from the email with you today.

It is evident that elections have consequences but that worn out phrase is hardly a comfort. Yes, the Bible calls the last days “perilous.” Yes, Romans 1 is the prevailing mentality of the last days—a depraved mindset. We just want that shining city on a hill back. Reality check: That is very likely not going to happen ever again! What’s coming is the New World Order. But Christians are still called to be salt and light and to delay the decay no matter how much we are persecuted! God has spent all of 2020 reminding us that this world is not our home. We are only briefly passing through. Why would anyone want to cling to this? A new day is coming. A new world is coming. Very very soon.

I can hardly wait for the New World order that Jesu will bring when He returns to rule. There will not be different parties there will be one supreme ruler and everyone else will be in service to Him.
