COMMISSION every member to make disciples by reaching out in love and respect to every person from nations.

Vison Statement

We believe all people matter to God and that Christ’s message and ministry through the local church is the hope of the world.

Core Values

• We value the Holy Scripture as the inerrant, inspired Word of God for instruction in living and direction into a personal, life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord.

• We value the unconditional love of God which was manifested in the redemptive work accomplished on the cross by His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit’s drawing men to God Himself.

• We value intercessory prayer, believer’s baptism, complete stewardship before God, and the use of spiritual gifts for the edification of the church.

• We value the discipline of Scripture memorization and perseverance through difficult times of our lives.

• We value the certainty of the eventual return of Jesus Christ as a guarantee that God will complete the good work in us that He has begun.

• We value the responsibility of being called into a royal priesthood with the express charge of calling our fellowman into a faith-based grace-provided relationship with Jesus Christ.

• We value the invisible attributes of God in the revelation of Himself through His inspired word and creation.

• We value the freedom to gather in worship using our spiritual gifts, prayer, song, praise, and thanksgiving as demonstrated in the preaching and teaching of the Bible.

• We value our unity as the body of Christ, enjoying one another’s diversity and uniqueness, joining in fellowship with one another in worship and prayer, reaching out and meeting members’ needs with compassion and love for all ages.

• We value honesty and integrity, personal responsibility and accountability to God, self-discipline, respect for all human life from conception to natural death, and diligence in our daily walk.

• We value honouring Christ in our homes with lifelong commitments to marriage between male and female and scripturally rearing our children.

• We value cooperating with other churches in our neighbouring area for evangelistic and missionary endeavours.

• We value sharing the gospel and the discipleship of all ages including children, youth, adults, and senior adults.

• We value the democratic freedoms of choice and process in our church’s decision-making.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.

About Pastor Mike

Pastor Mike is the lead pastor of Commission Church located in Union, Ms

Pastor Mike has a long background in ministry as his father is a retired minister from a main stream denomination, as well as completing the Ministers Affirmation Program and the Ministers Intern Program through the Church of God organization, where he pastored a similar small church while attending the programs.

After serving as Associate Pastor in multiple churches under great leadership, he and our Associate Pastor and wife, Gail felt the calling to plant a new work and ministry in our community of House, Ms technically in the Union, Ms area.

We launched in May 2017 in our home and we have seen some amazing things that God has accomplished in these short 3 years.

We have successfully navigated the COVID-19 pandemic through social distancing as long as possible and now we have moved to online services only for the safety of our group of precious membership.

Pastors Mike & Gail have a passion for helping people through biblical discipleship as Jesus ordained in Matthew 28:18-20.

We both are excited that you chose to drop by and check us out today and pray that your experience was positive and up-lifting. If we can pray with you about anything, please feel free to reach out to us through our web page and we will respond accordingly.

If you have a home church, where you are happy and being fed the Word of God, we encourage you to stay where God has planted you to grow.
